How it works

Watch every paid click. Block the ones that keep coming back.

How Block Click Fraud works, in plain terms: it checks the Google Ads clicks that land on your site, decides which ones came from bots or repeat clickers, and adds those sources to your Google Ads IP exclusions so your ads stop showing to them.

Set up once. It runs on its own.

Three steps to connect a site. After that there is nothing to copy, paste or remember.

1

Install the plugin

Add the Block Click Fraud plugin to your WordPress site and paste in your API key. A small script starts recording what happens after each paid click.

2

Connect Google Ads

Sign in with Google and pick the ad account. That permission is what lets flagged sources go straight into your IP exclusion list.

3

Watch the dashboard

Every paid click shows up with a verdict and the reason for it. Bad sources get excluded automatically, and you can remove any entry yourself.

What happens to every paid click

Watch

The script records the visit that follows a paid click: how long it lasted, what the visitor did, the device and network, and how often that source has been back.

Decide

Each click gets a verdict: clean, suspect or fraud. Ordinary customers are left alone. Good bots such as Googlebot and AdsBot are never blocked.

Block

Sources marked as fraud are written into the Google Ads IP exclusion list through the API. The 500-address limit per campaign is managed so the list stays useful.

What it can do, and what nothing can

Where does blocking work? On Google Ads campaigns that accept IP exclusions, such as Search. The saving comes from your ad not being shown to a bad source again, before you pay for another click.

What about Performance Max? Campaign-level IP exclusions are not available in Performance Max, but account-level IP exclusions apply to every campaign in the account, Performance Max included. Block Click Fraud writes fraud sources to that account-level list too. How account-level exclusions work.

Can it stop the very first click? No. A brand new source has to click once before anything can judge it. What stops is the second click, and the tenth.

Does Google already refund invalid clicks? Some of them, automatically, after you paid, with no detail on which clicks. Block Click Fraud works alongside those credits. What Google's refunds cover.

Could it block a real customer? It is built not to, and you can check every entry. Watch cost per conversion rather than click counts: if leads fall along with clicks, something is wrong. The bots it never touches.

Which ad platforms are covered? Google Ads, with automatic blocking. Microsoft Ads (monitoring + block list): the same checks on every Microsoft Ads click, plus a paste-ready IP exclusion list, because Microsoft does not let any tool add exclusions for you.

Keep your budget for real searchers.
