What is the difference between GIVT and SIVT?

GIVT, or general invalid traffic, comes from declared crawlers and known tools that identify themselves in the user agent string. SIVT, or sophisticated invalid traffic, actively disguises itself as a real visitor and declares nothing. GIVT is filtered routinely because the traffic announces what it is. SIVT is the expensive category, since nothing in the request admits it is automated.
